Phoenix Beer

"Nou Pays. Nou Labiere". It is the slogan "Our country, our beer" in Creole, which best expresses the preference of Mauritians for their local beer.

Launched in 1963, Phoenix Beer is a Mauritian beer that was the first locally produced beer, by Phoenix Beverages Limited (PhoenixBev).

The phoenix, a mythical bird rising from its ashes, is the symbol of eternity, tinged with purple red on the first bottles of Phoenix Beer.

Since 2007, it has been rewarded internationally with several gold medals, notably for the Monde Selection competition in Brussels.

It has become the favourite beer of Mauritians because it has remained faithful to its origins, in line with their lifestyle.

Its pale yellow colour emanates the scents of malt, roasted and cereal, and you will appreciate this unique taste expressing the exotic flavours of Mauritius.

Phoenix beer is a sweet but fragrant lager, using barley and traditional brewing, which also appeals to beer lovers from all over the world.
