"Once upon a time, there was a little princess named Charlotte! Her skin was so thin and delicate that she couldn't tolerate any skin care products or soap, even organic, even for babies."
What seems to be a fable, is the origin of one of the most beneficial brand creations in Mauritius.
These are artisan-soap makers who are the creators of Kokodezil, the emblematic brand of products made in "fresh and handmade".
Julie and Emmanuel are not gurus, but they will make you convinced followers thanks to an exotic name, a light design, biodegradable packaging and above all good products, based on local coconut oil.
Kokodezil, an Everland LTD brand, created in 2017, is proud to have obtained the "Made in Moris" label in July 2018.
Natural and eco-friendly soaps and skincare products are made by hand in the Pereybère workshop, using local ingredients, including the famous Agalega Coconut Oil.
A single credo: minimize the ecological impact and valorize local producers.
But what is the composition of these products?
pure vegetable oils (Coconut, Avocado, Shea, Olives),
spices and plants from local producers or wild gatherings,
natural vegetable wax,
no products of synthetic or petrochemical origin,
no ingredients of animal origin and of course not tested on animals,
no palm oil, no synthetic fragrances, no controversial or dangerous substances.
The founders of Kododezil have even invested in social support among the inhabitants of the long Mauritian island of Agaléga.
For they obtain their supplies from an NGO of local producers, which uses the profit from these sales to finance a reception and schooling centre for children.
They also support the Agaléga students' house in Port Louis, to help them continue their studies in Mauritius.
But back to the Kokodezil shampoo: its solid format, using the ancestral method of cold saponification, is obtained after four weeks of drying.
You know everything. Now all you have to do is try it on.
Is your skin often red, inflamed and sometimes irritated?
Save your skin! Soothe, calm, moisturise and relax your skin instantly.
A simple maternal gesture can sometimes be the origin of the creation of a product and a brand.
Like the memory of the peaceful sleep provided by a spoonful of orange blossom water given by one's mother every night before going to bed.
This is what happened to the Mauritian Kristèle SUN, creator of the brand O.Moi.
Based on the desire to take care of oneself, the concept has allowed her to develop products that have a vocation for physical and emotional well-being.
O.Moi's certified non-allergenic face and body products, which use aromatherapy, are manufactured locally and certified by third-party laboratories.
Here are Kristèle SUN's 5 tips for keeping your skin healthy:
